Hi, I’m Lowri!

Running has always been about sanity for me, from the opportunity to choose my own speed when life was generally at toddler pace, to a space to breathe and put life’s chaos into perspective. Along the way I’ve found out so much more about myself and what I can achieve than I could ever have imagined.

This blog is a chance to share some of that. I’ll be looking at my own running story, from tentative first steps onwards, and questioning my reasons for how and why I run. I’ll be thinking about how to look after myself both while I’m out there and before and after a run, and how to deal with the nightmare of an injury. I want to celebrate the highs and acknowledge the lows of running for no other reason than because we want to, and explore what keeps us motivated to get back out there even when those highs have become elusive.

Quite simply, running makes me happy. I hope I can share some of that happiness here with you.
